That message usually means that you have changed either the NetView hostname or
IP address since it was installed and not run /usr/OV/service/reset_ci. Just
do that now and everything should be fine after that and you can register the
webserver daemon.
The message is not from the webserver but from the ovaddobj process, which
should give you the same error no matter what daemon you try to change.

Subject: [NV-L] my NV 6.0 dislikes the webserver
I have a problem to register the webserver and the mibserver via
/usr/OV/bin/ovaddobj /usr/OV/lrf/webserver.lrf and
../mibserver.lrf
the reply is:
ovaddobj - Static Registration Utility
ERROR: Unable to connect to Network_Manager_s (have you done ovstart?) (OVs
1-16)
I' ve already done ovstart and an open netview console so that there are a lot
of "/usr/OV/bin/..."-jobs (about 29) running on the box.
What is OVs 1-16 standing for or better do anybody know, which one I am looking
for? I have no Ides at the moment.
Thanks
