Look into the man page for ovxecho or ovxbeep. You specify the display
with a -d and just give it the test of the message. You get a popup iwndow
to be ack'd by the user.

Subject: [NV-L] User Interface Status
Using NetView 6.0.1 on AIX 4.3.2
I know there is a way to check the status of user interfaces in
serversetup, but
is there a way to check that from the command line? Also, is there a way to
send
a message to open user interfaces to make them aware that you are about to
shut
down the system for maintenence as an example?
Thanks,
Scott Bursik
