Chance, you might want to call Support and have them look at your
logs. FYI, Netview does re-check all HSRP interfaces every 5 minutes
to verify that they still go to the same system, and if not, it moves them.
It checks by looking at the router sysName reached by that address.
So you might start by checking to see that the sysNames are configured
on those devices and that they are unique.

Subject: [NV-L] HSRP Interface messages
I am receiving messages related to HSRP interfaces in Netview.
Here is some background:
Router A has 7 interfaces for which it is configured for HSRP. On
interfaces 1,2,3 it has a priority of 200 and 4,5,6,7 a priority of
100
Router B is the peer router. It also has 7 interfaces. Interfaces
4,5,6,7 are have priority of 200 and on 1,2,3 priority of 100.
Router A is the active router for interfaces 1,2,3 and Router B is the
active router for interfaces 4,5,6,7.
The messages I am receiving start with an Interface down, then HSRP
interface deleted, then interface deleted, then interface added, then
HSRP interface added. They are in that order for interfaces 4,5,6,7 on
router A.
These messages are logged every 2 to 3 minutes.
I am running Netview 6.01 on AIX 4.3.3. If this is not clear I will
can send copies of my logs and what not.
Thanks for your help!
