Here's an item which may of interest to some NetView users who have Service
Point installed for tralertd and spappld
===============================================================================
For those host connection users, there are now two new Service Point
ptf's available.
  1) ptf U472893 upgrades Service Point from V1.2.2 to V1.2.3
Service Point ptf U472893 must be installed on top of the base
     Service Point V1.2.2.
This Service Point code is compiled on AIX V3.2.5
and is orderable by contacting your local marketing representative
for the base code, or level 2 service for the ptf.
  2) ptf U473211 is a complete Service Point code refresh and is
     compiled on AIX V4.3.1.
It will install Service Point at V1.3.3.
Since Service Point has only been announced on AIX V3.2.5
this ptf can only be obtained by opening a Service Point pmr
     with Level 2 Service.
     It is a controlled ptf.

The purpose of this was to fix Service Point Apar IY12172
(Service Point's evp_nvixSrd daemon cores with runcmd
issued from host to RISC/6000 7025-F50). The problem was
that the previous level of Service Point V1.2.2 was not picking up
the latest AIX V4.3.0 changes that were made to support the new
RISC/6000's. This recompile resulted in changes to many of Service
Point's modules. It was decided to release a ptf upgrade from
from Service Point V1.2.2 to Service Point V1.2.3 for users at an
operating level less than AIX V4.3.1. This will help maintain a
consistant code level between Service Point V1.2.3 and V1.3.3.

In most cases there will be no need to upgrade to Service Point V1.3.3
unless Service Point is having problems.
