But that trap should tell you everything you need to know about the
incoming trap. It shows you the enterprise id, the specific number, the
host that sent it, and all the variables and their corresponding MIB OIDs.
You may still need to consult the vendor doc in order to know what those
variables mean, of course, but you should just be able to manually add this
to trapd.conf using xnmtrap in a matter of a minute. It 's easy to do.

Subject: [NV-L] addtrap script for Vital Suite traps?
Anybody out there using Lucent's Vital Suite and forwarding traps to
NetView? We are receiving threshold exceeded traps but they are reported as
"Trap with unknown format received .... "
