We are now running the new CiscoWorks, the one coming with CDOne for AIX. The hosts are 2-way smp F-50s under HACMPE/S 4.3 and AIX 4.3.3 (the primary node also runs NetView 5.1.2 and Optivity 8.1). The bottom line is that this version of CiscoWorks is easily handled by the hosts whereas the previous version ran the CPU usage up to 100% almost always forever. Most of the CPU time was previously spent on avping and avtrim. In any case, the new version of CiscoWorks seems to have "fixed" the problem of being such as CPU hog. |
