Hi,
I think the reason for that behaviour is that
demandpoll uses /usr/OV/conf/communities.conf
or "public" as a default
and the commandline (snmpwalk/get/set) uses
the communities you have set in SNMP Configuration.
Have a look at these settings.

Thema: [NV-L] snmp polling
Hello:
I have an AIX 4.2 and Netview 6.0.2. I have probem wiht snmp
for some routers. This routers responds to snmp in the command line (
snmpwalk <hosts name> is OK), but for demandpoll , the snmp gives timeout
(the router is red)
In the configuration for Snmp , in our Netview , we have 2 minutes with
timeout .
Some idea?
Saludos.
