SNMP archive directory

Does anyone know whether the nvColToSQL command will delete the
/usr/OV/database/snmpCollect/archive DIRECTORY?

I know that the archive/working binary files will be deleted, but I was
surprised to found the directory is gone as well.

I am using archive method to insert snmp collected data into oracle at the
moment.
