Not my best subject, but I have saved a few bits of information.
There is a Microsoft limit on the size of the database. Take a look
at \usr\ov\databases\odbc\snmpcollect_db.mdb. It does not
seem that 20 hours should fill it. You can try compacting/repairing
the snmpcollect database. Access via Control Panel -> System DSN ->
snmpcollect -> Configure -> Repair or Compact and see if that makes
a difference.

Also make sure there is not a job scheduled that is purging data
automatically. I think this job (snmpodump) is scheduled if you
install Tivoli Decision Support, but it may also be scheduled by
default to keep you from getting into trouble before you know what
you are doing. Scheduling is done with AT via one configuration
interface or another.

Subject: [NV-L] MIB Data collecting with NV...

We have NV 6.0.1 installed on Win 2k Advanced Server here in our test lab.
We are trying to use it to track SNMP data for various Cisco devices and
are having problems.

Currently, we have the NV MIB Collector capturing data from a 2621 router
only. The problem is that the collector will only hold about 20 hours of
data. Is there a way to increase the amount of data that the Collector
will hold? We need to hold more data, both for the router itself and we
need to add more devices. Do we need to link the data to another SQL DB
somewhere to increase the size? If so, how can we do this? We would like
to be able to continue using the data viewer on NV as well if possible....

Thanks for your help.
