I haven't seen any response to this so I'll chip in my two cents or one
of the leftover Yuan from a visit to IBM China some time ago.

NetView for NT doesn't have the filtering available in NetView for Unix,
the NT Tec adapter isn't as easy to work with either and NT Batch Files
are impossible to do anything intelligent so I resort to the long way
around.
1. Copy the content of the utilities directory from the Tivoli
Framework for NT to your NetView node if you have access to it. There
are Open Source NT versions of all the Unix commands there.
2. Use the BASH shell interpreter and write some filtering procedures.
Use Postemsg (or Wpostemsg if your NetView is part of a Framework TMR)
to forward the events.

Alternate: especially interesting to IBM oriented users
1. Copy the REGINA Open Source interpreter from the University of
Waterloo site or the somewhat less capable one from the NT Resources
package.
2. Write your filters using the REXX language using Postemsg/Wpostemsg
for forwarding events.

Most of the customers I work with have both Framework and NetView
licensed so there's no problem there in using BASH from Tivoli. If
there is no prejudice against REXX I find it more stable and capable for
the task but documentation is hard to find and I wind up using the
mainframe or OS/2 REXX documentation.

I hope this helps.

I have a customer want to send events from regional NV NT to HQ TEC,
and HQ only need to know the status of some important interfaces of the
regional routers.
So they want to know if they can filter event by interface.

I checked the NV events, the interface information is in event message.
Anybody has this kind of experience?
