It depends on the rule you are using. In your case, since you query a
smartset, the answer is "yes". smartsets are handled by nvcold (the
NetView Collection daemon -- which is what "nvcold" means), so when he
doesn't run, all of your queries fail and nothing which requires membership
in a smartset goes to TEC.

A quick question: if nvcold stops, does it affect to traps sending to TEC?.
Our tecfin.rs is the rule to send traps to TEC, it`s defined to send every
node_down or node_up from any objet in a SmartSet. The nvcold stopped and
we
noticed some events didn`t reach the TEC.
