I had the integration working on Version 5.1.2 of
Netview for NT. I don't think they have changed it
since. From my experience, the non-TME version is
always much more stable and a lot faster. I have done
a packet capture of the traffic, all it does is do a
postemsg to the TEC.

On your tecad_nv6k.conf, make sure you have a valid
directory for the cache file. If I remember
correctly, the adapter may not start if the /tmp or
whatever temporary directory you specify doesn't exist

For example:
BufEvtPath=/tmp/nv6k.cache

Also, if your TEC is on NT, your have to specify the

ServerPort=5529

I used to receive the Dr. Watson error, and the CPU
utilization usually spike to 100%. Did you make
modification to the tecad_nv6k.cds file? If you did,
try use the default one and see if it starts. I had
to rewrote my own tecad_nv6k.cds, and it won't start
unless the configuration files are exactly right.

Also, is your Netview and TEC on the same box. I have
never run the newer version of TEC/TMR and Netview on
the same NT server before. I am not sure it's a good
idea unless you have a pretty powerful server.
