Yes. Those messages about backup are usually about identity problems.
You can put your server in the seedfile, and you can delete the node itself
(and its ghost cousing, if it exists) and rediscover it. You can also do
the
/usr/OV/service/reset_ci and maybe a mapadmin -u <hostname> for
good measure.

Cordially,

I have a Minor problem so it appears. I don't seem to have any issues
relating to it, but it certainly is annoying.. Perhaps someone will lend a
hand.

In my nettl log, I get the following error message every minute or so.

backup: cannot find this node's 'tiv-nv-na' OVwObjectId

Logically enough, I did an ovobjprint -s | grep tiv-nv-na
and the only results I got were....

 726406 "tiv-nv-na-stby:en02139321"
 221385 "tiv-nv-na-stby"
 726405 "tiv-nv-na-stby:en22139321"
 1170014 "tiv-nv-na-stby:en1"

The hostname for this machine is tiv-nv-na but there is another interface
on the box with the name tiv-nv-na-stby..

I was trying to figure out how to get netview to rediscover the "netview"
box upon the proper interface.
Can I delete the netview box from the "Manager Submap" and then add an
entry in the seed file so it will find it upon the proper interface?
I have no idea what type of impact that would have.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
thanks
brian
