It may be that your old node name is still present in the availability portion of the database. Try running "uptimer -d" to clear that, and then delete and re-discover your node James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and NT Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group
I have an ip address that I gave a temporary node name to in my discovery and ETC/Hosts file. When I later got the official name, I deleted the old ip and symbol from the map. Now I can't re-discover the same ip address & node with a different name. How do I delete the old from the database (sql)? Has anyone encounter the same problem? This is Netview 7.1 on NT.
