Not with just data collection alone. You'd have to configure it to send
the events it always does, and then use a ruleset with the Thresholds
mechanism to determine which to send to the events window. Of course, any
one using just forwardall.rs, or browsing trapd.log, would see them all.
Or you could just set up a filter on the events display.

Subject: [nv-l] threshold event only when continuously exceed ?
Hi all,
I have a question about "Data Collection & Threshold" function.
I want to supperess theshold events
until continuously exceed threhold value.
For example,
now threshold value is 10,
consecutive parameter(if exist) is 5,
I expect a value shifts and alarm event appear
as follows.
2002/3/6 22:44 1
2002/3/6 22:45 2
2002/3/6 22:46 3
2002/3/6 22:47 4
2002/3/6 22:48 11 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:49 12 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:50 17 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:51 3
2002/3/6 22:52 12 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:53 15 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:54 21 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:55 30 (not alarm)
2002/3/6 22:56 20 ====> alarm !!! only when consecutively 5 times
2002/3/6 22:57 10
2002/3/6 22:58 12
Is it possible?
I'm using NetView for UNIX V6.0.2.
