how about "no snmp enable traps" on the Cisco devices and just shut the traps off  at the source?

Subject: [nv-l] SNMP receiving port

Last post today! Promise!

I am still working with my networking group to stop the Cisco event storm that we have been dealing with for 2 days. In the mean time, could I change the tcp and udp snmp receive ports to some other port than 162 in serversetup?  I dont need any external traps until they get this resolved, I just need the NetView internal traps to continue the monitoring that I need.

Thoughts?
