I have 2 maps.
The nodes and interfaces are unmanaged from the 2 maps.
The interfaces are from a modem pool.
So every time that someone disconnect we have an event in Netview
(Netview6000 event).
And an alert for an interface down.
So what should i do ?
Cheers,
Ben

How many maps do you have? netmon will continue to poll devices which are
unmanaged in one map but still managed in another (because it must to keep
status updated for that map. If the events you are talking about are from
a third-party (e.g Cisco, Compaq Insight Manager, etc) then you will have
to turn those off at the source.

Subject: [nv-l] NO ALERT FROM UNMANAGED OBJECT
Hi.
AIX 4.3.2 Netview 5.1
Is there a way to configure Netview so that an unmanage object don't send
event.
The reason is that we are alerted by nodes and interface that i put on
unmanaged.
Thanks.
Ben
