Hi Vynita,

It looks like Router Fault Isolation is doing its job. Check the routers'
interfaces that are connected to the white networks. White means
unreachable. NetView is capable of understanding network topologies so that
if a router interface is reported as being down, it will not poll the
devices in the occluded (unreachable) network. You need to check that you
can ping the IP addresses of the down interfaces and that they report UP in
a demand poll. There is a lot more written about Router Fault Isolation in
the manuals.

Hope that helps,

Hi

I am using Netview 6.0 on AIX 4.3.3

On the map
On a site level everything appears normal, I drill down and there I see
some
routers and networks in white.
Why are they white? If you drill down into them they are red and the
description is unreachable what is causing this ?

Thanks
Vynita
