Swen,
with NetView 7.1.3 you can enable SSL for the web console.
Take a look at the Relase Notes.
I'm quite sure this will make your "security division" happy ;-)

Hello,
I have a generally question.
The communication between the web console and the netview server
is plain text (i can see this in a trace).
Only the password looks like encrypted. Anyone knows which encryption
is used for the password synchronization ?
Our security division needs this information.
