You gave me an idea last night when I read your email. I logged in changed my .profile to not run NVenvironment. Then I tried the install and it worked just fine.

 

Here are the PATH and CLASSPATH settings now:

 

CLASSPATH=

PATH=/usr/bin:/etc:/usr/sbin:/usr/ucb:/home/rww01/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/OV/service

Hello Everyone.

NV 7.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3 ML10

I'm having trouble installing ITSA on my NetView server. The test server
running AIX 5.1 install worked just fine.

Whether I enter just "./switchanalyzer_install" or "./switchanalyzer_install
-is:tempdir dir", the install script eventually just exits. There are no
messages to stdout. The log files in /usr/OV/tmp/ITSL2 are not created. The
program directory /usr/OV/ITSL2 directory is not created. I do notice that
jre/bin and jre/lib subdirectories are created in the tempdir just before
the install fails. The install program never displays the InstallShield
Wizard screen.

Java version is 1.3.1.

Any ideas?
