Hello Everyone.

NV 7.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3 ML 10. Testing ITSA 1.2.

I use NetView node down traps (NetView Enterprise 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3 Specific
Trap 58916865) in many of my rulesets. If the node remains down for over 5
minutes, then I page or run a script, etc. I use the "Reset on Match" node
in the ruleset to check for a node up event (NetView Enterprise
1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3 Specific Trap 58916864) within 5 minutes. This method has
worked very well; NV has never failed to notify us in the event of a node
down failure with this method.

If I install ITSA should I use the ITSL2 node down trap (ITSL2 Enterprise
1.3.6.1.4.1.5593 Specific Trap 2) and continue to use the NetView node down
trap as the reset event? Should I use the ITSL2 correlated node up traps
(ITSL2 Enterprise 1.3.6.1.4.1.5593 Specific Trap 7) as the resetting event.
What's your experience?

I would appreciate any guidance from anyone using ITSA with their NetView
installation.
