the scoping informations are stored in the file:
/usr/OV/www/conf//ScopeInfo.xml
It should be possible to change/generate this xml file with a script.
Kind regards

Hi,
Netview 7.1.2 on AIX 4.3.3 ML10
My doubt is related with what Bernard has said:
If it´s possible to define negative entries in scope of web console, if
not, can we define or configure in batch mode, through a comand or script ?
We have to define a lot of locations (more than 500) in a scope of an
specific user.
Thanks in advance

Hello list,
Netview 7.1.2 on AIX 4.3.3ML09
with the Web Interface of Netview, it is possible to restrict the view of a
given map to some users by allowing them access to some networks and/or
locations.
This works by listing all networks/locations they are allowed to view.
This is good when the list is short.
My question is : is it possible to define the following "give access to the
whole map but NOT to some networks/locations without having to list all
what they're allowed to. This would give a very long list and one would
never be sure this list is up to date (some new networks can always be
discovered by netmon)".
so to summarise : it is possible to define negative entries in the scope
instead of positive entries ?
many thanks for any advise.
Bernard Baudoux.
