Run the command "sysdumpdev -e" to get an estimate of the dump size needed. Create two logical volumes "hd7" and "hd7x" on separate physical disks. These will be your dump spaces. Run the commands: sysdumpdev -p /dev/hd7 sysdumpdev -s /dev/hd7x Run the command "sysdumpdev -l" which should show the primary dump device is now hd7 and the secondary dump devices is hd7x. Regards, ken p.s. do NOT use paging space as the dump device contrary to what IBM by default does. |
