I don't know if Netview has an "out-of-the-box" integration with Remedy,
but we were using Tivoli TEC as a interface... so to speak. An event via a
NetView ruleset is forwarded to TEC. T/EC determines what support group is
the responsible party, and within a notification script, different
severities will perform different actions - page, email, remedy ticket,
etc...
T/EC sends Remedy an email with the pertinent information (hostname, ip,
short desc of problem, etc). We had a receiving agent in/on Remedy that
took the data, formatted it, and opened/assigned the ticket to the
responsible group/person.
Worked really slick.

Subject: [nv-l] Remedy ARS
integration with Netview
02/25/2003 01:55 PM
Hello,
I'm looking to find out if Netview has out-of-the-box integration
functionality with Remedy ARS (or visa-versa). If not, has anyone
attempted to integrate with Remedy without a gateway or plug-in? If so,
how did you do it?
(I realize these questions are pie-in-the-sky), just wanted to throw it out
there to see is something does exist without having to spend the extra
dough.
Thanks,
Dan
