If that is the text of the exact message, then there is a configuration
problem somewhere, I think, because "xxx.xxx.250.6" is not a valid address.
That message should have either a valid hostname or valid IP address in
it. The message

If you cannot figure it out, then I think you will have to call Support.
Offhand, I can see no reason why some would work and some would not. The
message indicates that at least we tried to send the trap but the routine
failed. And if that was the intended I address, I shouldn't wonder.

Subject: [nv-l] enterprise 260 trap can not be forwarded

AIX 4.3.3, Netview 7.1.3

One of my Netview server is configured to forward traps to an other
Netview
server.
I am seeing error traps on the first Netview server. It is not able to
forward. The strange part is that the only traps that cause the server to
generate this error are the traps from Startek equipment (enterprise 260).
All the other traps are correctly forwarded. Also, this trap are correctly
received by the first Netview server.

Any idea what could be wrong ?

Thanks,
Salutations, / Regards,
