Carlos,
If you have snmp access to the routers you can add for each an entry in
the netmon seed file with the "$" prefix. This indicates to Netview that
it should monitor interfaces via SNMP and it won't try to ping the WAN
IP's. See the inline comments in the netmon.seed file for more
information.

Subject: [nv-l] unmanaged interfaces
Hello List:
Currently I have in Netview some routers for which I have to monitor
only
the LAN interfaces and the WAN interfaces are responsability of the
carrier
(I cannot ping the WAN interfaces from my Netview box).
I have unmanaged these interfaces and I have configured the seed file to
do not discover these IP Addresses, but the problem is that Netview is
still
monitoring these interfaces, so when the router gets down and later up,
Netview never detects the Router UP event due to the unmanage condition,
it stays in router marginal status. I'm opening tickets in Service
Center
and due to this situation tickets never are closed.
What can I do to avoid that Netview monitor these interfaces???
NV 7.1.3
AIX 4.3.3
Thanks. Regards.
Saludos.
