I installed now NV 7.1.3 with fixpack 1, Netview seem to be i little bit
more stable, less core memory dump (but i had some), but i'm thinking now To
downgrade my RH to version 7.2....
I think, it can be my memory that i only have 396 meg (minimum req. should
be 512 meg) the problem
or
the RH version...
Thanks
Dominic

Objet : Re: TR: [nv-l] Netview 7.1.2 problems on Linux RH8
I had severe problems with NetView 7.1.2 on RH8.
In the end I reverted to RedHat 7.2 + all RedHat 7.2 patches on the basis
it was supported.
This was ok. I then upgraded to NetView 7.1.3 but kept RedHat on 7.2.
I can't say if the new NetView 7.1.3 + fixpack would work any better, as I
haven't tried it on RedHat 8
There seems to be no reason not to stick with RedHat 7.2 anyway. It has the
hardware raid drivers I need,
a reasonable version of openssh/openssl, and bind9 DNS compiles and works
fine.
Do you actually have a need for RedHat 8? If so upgrade to NetView 7.1.3 +
fixpack.
