Nope - technically moving NetView isn't a problem - if this is an extra
NetView, then obviously there may be a licensing question but I am
certainly not qualified to comment on that.
If you move your NetView, you will probably need to run the reset_ci
command in /usr/OV/service - that generally fixes any issues with the
move. The only other issue may be if your NetView is installed on top
of Framework? If ytou are simply changing the IP address, not hostname,
you should get away with this by using the Framework odadmin command to
add your new IP alias. If you have Framework and you change the
hostname, that's much harder. I would do a migration re-install of
NetView if I needed to change the IP hostname of a Framework-based
NetView - you can find further help on this in the NetView archives.
