Here's some information about new capability in AIX 5.2. Prior versions,
including 5.1, did not have any host information available via SNMP unless
you installed a separate SNMP agent available from some third parties.
In 5.2 there will be much more information, and more to follow. This came
from AIX support recently.
=========================================================================
AIX5.1 does not define or implement any
enterprise-specific MIBs.
Beginning with AIX5.2, we define enterprise-
specific MIBs. The DPI-2 sub-agent "aixmibd"
manages our MIBs.
The AIX enterprise-specific MIBs are part of the
"bos.net.tcp.adt" fileset.
The list of top sub-tree OIDs which the "aixmibd"
manages today:

AIX doesn't provide CPU informations per SNMP out of the box.
Take a look at trapgend.
"man trapgend":
----------
......
The trapgend daemon can be installed on remote AIX 3.2 RISC/6000 machines
to provide additional management capabilities. The trapgend daemon can
pro-
vide the following functions:
+ Disk space utilization query
+ CPU utilization query
+ Remote ping operation
+ System error log to trap conversion
.....
----------
..... and chapter 2 in the Config Guide.

hi all,
could anyone give me how to get data collection on CPU on an RS/6000
machines because i can't find the OID for it
Is there a special configuration should be done on the machines to enable
that coz after doing snmpwalk on the machine most of the output is OIDs
for network device?
