Can anyone comment on the best way to monitor Cisco routers and switches
with NetView. Is it best to use SNMP polling or ICMP polling or a
combination of the two types of polling? I have a typical hub/spoke WAN
environment with circuit speeds from 16Kbps to T1. I also have a large MAN
environment for our campus sites in a 10-12 mile radius of the central data
processing facility. The MAN sites are mostly connected via GigEthernet.
For these sites I think SNMP polling is best.

Thanks
