You do not need to install both. Install the later when the package contains identical modules. So you would install the fix IY40257.

The "Fixpack1" for 7.1.3 must be installed before applying IY40257.

You should also install fix IY41984 in combination with IY40257. There is no specific install order required, however as stated above, Fixpack1 (for 7.1.3) is a pre-requisite for both fixes.

Hi all, netview 7.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3

 

Can someone tell me which efix should i take care when both of them fix the same daemon ? probalby the one that is more recent… 

but just in case I send to you both of  these fix. Let me know if I am right to install only the IY40257 fix (the one that is more recent) 

instead of both (IY40257 and IY38709revA)…
