On UNIX, if you put on FixPack1 you would see evidence of that in
/usr/OV/service. Generally, speaking, if you have to ask, then you did not
do it. The Help menu is not updated except for major releases.
While you might still find FixPack1 for NetView for Windows useful, be
aware that the Windows product does not handle SNMP V2 traps at all, so
applying the fixpack will make no difference for the issue you reported.
I am not aware of how you would download FixPack1 or how you would view
APAR information, since I believe that depends on what the extent of your
maintenance agreements with IBM/Tivoli are. Public interfaces for
customers are not an area I am very familiar with. That's why I suggested
you call Support. That is your primary mechanism for obtaining help.

with SNMP v2 traps with mib2trap.

Sorry about that, we are using IBM Tivoli Netview 7.1.3 (on Solaris &
Windows 2000). I tried to figure out if
I have Fixpack 1 installed. The "On version" option from the "Help" menu
displayed the version for NetView as
V7R1.
Could you please let me know how to determine if Fixpack 1 is installed
(for both Windows 2000 & Solaris).
Also, I would appreciate it if you could point me to the description for
the problem (IY35928) and link for
downloading the Fixpack 1 release.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Paresh.
