Jennifer, I tinkered with getting cpu temp support compiled into a Linux kernel not too long ago (without much success, actually). The usual way to do it seems to be to use the lm_sensors package. Motherboard support varies but it does allow you to get the temps via snmp. http://people.redhat.com/harald/snmp-lmsensors/HOWTO-SENSORS-SNMPD.html -- Scott Donohoo (sdonohoo@us.ibm.com) Tivoli NetView for Unix/NT Development
Hi All- I'm wondering if anyone out there knows if it is possible to monitor temperature (and possibly other environmental variables) via SNMP for RedHat V7.2 systems? Jennifer Nelson Tivoli Services - IBM Software Group nelsonj@us.ibm.com |
