| Hi,
dpid2 isn't used by NetView.
As far as I know TSM is using it for its trapagent and trap-generation.
MfG./ Best regards

AIX 4.3.3 and Netview 7.1.3
Hi,
Does netview require the dpid2 daemon active? It is an SNMP daemon, but is
not secure.
DPID is a legacy SNMP daemon. It is rarely used, and is supposed to be a
security exposure.
We are looking to remove it from our Netview servers. Wanted to make sure
Netview has no need for it.
Thanks for any feedback.
Cheers,
Fawad Qureshi
