I am afraid that Netview will be unable to natively monitor some of the
specifics we are looking for from this application. Hence, the reason we are
pursuing usage of this MIB. It contains specific information about the
health of this application.
Things like:
Authenication failures
Policy decisions made by the server
Active Directory tranactions

Can you be more specific about what it is your monitoring? NetView
can monitor a lot of things without necessarily having a mib loaded.
You may think I'm being a pain, but the reason I ask is that I haven't
seen many things in netview that actually required a MIB to be loaded
for you to be able to monitor the traps produced by a given snmp agent
(addtrap commands to that for ya), or snmpcollect (because you can
specify the OID directly in snmpcollect.conf to get around the
inability to pick an OID with the v1 browser in the GUI).

Hrmm. I've read that the web mib browser should handle v2 if you want
to browse and poke at specific variables interactively, and that
you've got a choice of v2 or v1 get/set requests using the web-based
mib browser. I'm not famailiar with siteminder though, nor am i
terribly familiar with the web mib browser other than a few plinks
around with it. I guess I find that I do rather little in the way of
mib browsing on a day to day basis, and not having mibs loaded has
seldom prevented me from monitoring devices.
I wish I could help more. :-\
