I found the answer.

In the base / install directory on the mainframe there is a member called $AMTRAP in the MSSAMPS directory. This has a mib2trap capable file that NetView read and parsed correctly. Thanks to Mike Odom for trying to fix me up but I ended up calling CA to get the answer.

Does anyone know where to obtain trap formats for NetMaster running under Z/OS on IBM mainframes? It looks like a pretty robust trap suite, but I can't find any trap documentation.
