Hi lists,

I am new to NetView, and am implementing NetView 7.1.3
under both AIX and Windows. I have the following
queries:

1. When I monitor the Processor load
(hrProcessorLoad)of a SNMP node under Windows it
displays a value which closely resembles the
percentage of the CPU usage. But if the monitored SNMP
node is AIX, then it displays some 7 or 8 digit value
and am unable to understand what it indicates. Request
you to clarify the same.

2. Can I monitor the traffic on a specific port, based
on applications? say a router port for the amount of
HTTP traffic, FTP traffic etc., If not possible in
NetView is there any plug-in available? Need this for
AIX as well as Windows versions of NetView.

Thanks in advance,

Raghu
