You are making this too hard. If the engineering fix requires FixPack1, then it will not install without it. The install script will check for it. And if FixPack1, or another e-fix, is required as a pre-req, then that information should be included in the Readme automatically. To answer your questions, (1) IY40257 is listed as requiring FixPack1 for 7.1.3 (2) FixPack2 for 7.1.3 is not yet available (it is in Verification at this time), but it will be cumulative, and will contain everything in FP1, and every engineering fix since then which is applicable, up to the first week of November. That was the code cut-off date by which all fixes had to be completed in order to be included. Once an e-fix is part of a FixPack, it will no longer be available as a separately installable unit. Hi, can I install the Engineering Fix for APAR IY40257 on NV7.1.3 with Fixpack 1 on Solaris? Or is this a fix for NV7.1.3 without Fixpack 1? Is this Fix included in Fixpak2 for NV7.1.3? Kind regards Iris Zimmer |
