It being a router you can also setup Netview to do a ANMP poll of the device which will check the Operational Status of the interface. You can then if you wish create a rule that says if yoiu receive operational status down to notify immediately via the trap. This instead of waiting for the next polling cycle. (5 mintues) in your case. -Chris |
