Does it come up when you ping it and then go back down? Is this device polled via SNMP or ICMP? Something is screwy if you cannot ping it from NetView, but can from the command line. Paul Klingensmith, Debra L. wrote: OK. Here is a weird one for you. I have an interface on a device that is showing down. The interface is actually up. I am unable to ping it from the Netview GUI, and when I do a quicktest on the device the interface shows as down. I can however ping it from the command prompt on the Netview server, so it is not a firewall issue. I am running Netview 7.1.3 for Unix.Debra L.
