Add "isNode=True"
I think that will get the network segments out of there for you.

Don,
I set it up like you suggested - ((('IP Status'='Marginal') || ('IP
Status'='Critical') || ('isUnreachable'=True)) && ('isNode'=True)) and it
does show the marginal, critical and unreachable nodes but it also includes
network segments that have these conditions. ?? Thanks, Dave

Please respond to nv-l
If I understand correctly, this is what you want. Must be a Node AND is
either Critical OR Marginal OR Unreachable.
Your rule should look like the first one:
DDs:
((('IP Status'='Marginal') || ('IP Status'='Critical') ||
('isUnreachable'=True)) && ('isNode'=True))
Original:
((('IP Status'='Marginal') || ('IP Status'='Critical')) &&
(('isUnreachable'=True) || ('isNode'=True)))

Raymond,
SmartSet: ProblemNodes
Description: Marginal or Critical Nodes
Rule: ((('IP Status'='Marginal') || ('IP Status'='Critical')) &&
(('isUn
reachable'=True) || ('isNode'=True)))
Thanks, Dave

Please respond to nv-l
Dave,
Please run the following command and send the output to a file and send
that to the list:
/usr/OV/bin/nvUtil g SmartSetName
Where "SmartSetName" is the name of your smartset that you described
bellow.

Subject: [nv-l] Unreachable Nodes..
Hi All,
I have a smartset that has marginal and critical and
Unreachable Nodes - Definition 1: 'Ip status'='Marginal' or Definition 2:
'Ip status'='Critical' And Definition 3: 'isUnreachable' = True
Definition 4: 'isNode' =True. The marginal and critical nodes show up in
this smartset but not the Unreachable ones. If I change Definition 4: to
'isNetwork'=True, the test will find all including the unreachable. Am I
doing something wrong? Can you tell me how to get this to work? Thansk,
Dave
