Hello Everyone.
NetView 7.1.4 (FixPack1) on AIX 5.2 (ML2)
Recently I have seen the following problem reported when running
ovmapcount -a after a backup job.
Notice the "Exists count current = 2 ..." line the this excerpt from my log
file:
## START LOG FILE SECTION ##
ovmapcount -a at Tue May 4 22:07:28 CDT 2004
Loading maps from database.

[17512] Object 27618708: Exists count current = 2 correct = 1
ovtopofix -a at Tue May 4 22:11:00 CDT 2004
Updating global topology information (objid = 249) ......
## END LOG FILE SECTION ##
This occurred in 7.1.3 and now under 7.1.4 (w/ FixPack1). In every case so
far, the object has been a Location.
I delete the object with "ovwdbdmap -d object number" and then after a few
days another object is reported after another backup.
I run ovmapcount and ovtopofix every weeknight after the backup. On Sunday
morning, I run the ovmapcount, ovtopofix and then the
nvTurboDatabase space/speed compression. nvTurboDatabase "pag" file settings
are sufficient for the size of the value_info.pag,
obj_info.pag and name_info.pag files.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
