Thread-topic: Netmon not discovering certain objects
We've seen devices in the seedfile not being discovered. Netview 7.1.4, FP1, AIX 4.3.3, pmr 74317.

Netview v7.1.4
Fixpack 1
Solaris 2.8

Greetings, I Just got off the phone with support and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this. I had certain nodes in my seed file that I could not seem to discover. After the usual recovery efforts (ovtopofix -A and ovmapcount -a and netmon tracing etc) support had me remove using ovwdbdelete 2493 objects stuck with the "REMOVED" label on them when I did an ovobjprint.

As my discovery is nothing fancy, and my network is only medium size, I 'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this.

I wrote a PERL program to validate everything in my seed file was discovered correctly and these nodes came up as passing the checks for DNS, pingability, SNMP access but were not in topology. So, this could have been going on a while but I just haven't noticed.
