Martina,

nvauth has no query function.

Logged on users are represented by entries in the file /usr/OV/security/cache
The file names start with the letter U appended with the numeric UNIX UID for the user, then the hostname,
Inside the file is a cryptic line of data, the format of which is undocumented.  But if you look at it, you can tell what it is.  Parsing is up to you-  it isn't easy.

If a user fails, crashes, etc., the entry will remain until a successful logout by that user, so that's another consideration- stale entries.

is ist possible to query the authorized NetView-User from the commandline - without using nvsec_admin-window?
