do the "ipAdEntIfIndex"s refer to valid "ifIndex"s? snmpwalk <LinuxBox> ip.ipAddrTable.ipAddrEntry.ipAdEntIfIndex snmpwalk <LinuxBox> interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifIndex Oliver
I am having a problem discovering Virtual IP Addresses on all of my Linux servers. 2 NICs appear in the Interface Table. Multiple IP Addresses appear in the ipAddressTable. However, NetView discovers and draws only the 2 physical interfaces and ignores the aliases (virtual IP addresses). IP forwarding off/on does not seem to make a difference.
Is something mis-configured in the SNMP agent on the Linux agent? RedHat Enterprise v3
Discovery works fine on AIX and Windows servers with similar configurations
