What's changed is name resolution. The System Name Changed event is sent
by netmon when the IP addresses it uses for polling in the topology
database returns a different name from gethostbyaddr() than what was stored
in the object database before.

Hi all,
Netview 7.1.4 FP2 AIX 5.2 ML04
Since some weeks I noticed multiple 'System Name changed' Events on all of
my systems.
The event occurs without any comprehensible situation, no Interface Down
Event, nothing.
The problem is, that after this Event all my Filtering and Rulesets are
irrelevant.
Has anyone else noticed similar problems?
Thanks for any help!
