Mauro,

you just ...

1. add a location to your IP internet map
2. copy your smartset/network/whatever ("from this submap")
3. paste the stuff into this location
4. configure your user accordingly

works like a charm (NV 7.1.4/AIX)

Mauro,

How I do it... In serversetup -> Configure -> Configure Web Server -> Configure Web Console Security
or from the console Administer -> Security Administration -> Web Console Security

this will open the Web Security app.  In here create a User.

Then alter one of the roles to suit your needs.  For example restrict the User Role to a small number of actions.

Then go to Scopes and create a new Scope.  Select the new Scope from which you can select locations and networks to add to the allowed list.  When the Scope is applied to a User, the User is restricted to a view of the Scope

When you have the Role and Scope configured as you wish just apply them to the User you created.

Thats how it works in my shop... (NetView for Unix)

Hi everybody,
after a while I'm reading NV pdf and viewing answer/question in the newsgroup...I'm not still able to understand if there is a way to assign a Read-Only map o better a read-only submap/smartset view to a specific Web Client user. So far I couldn'f find anything about that....

Is there anyone that can help me ???

Cheers
