This trouble started after clearing SNMPCollect databases.{From serversetup
menu > Databases > Clear Databases > Clear SNMPCollect databases . After
this clearing I have no access to SNMPCollect daemon menu  (Windows2000
Server Netview 7.1.4 FP03 )  :-(
 When I  looked into serversetup menu I give SNMPCollect daemon status is
running. and  MIB data collector collections  started too .
All processes are running as well :

Troubles start when I  want to choose SNMPCollect daemon menu . I give
popup message  "Unexpected operation".After this message I must close
server setup window because all menus  are  the same symptom as SNMPCollect
{"Unexpected operation"}.
These activities has no reflect to storing data into DB { flat file, MSJET}
but it is only GUI restriction. I know all  that parameter which I can set
using this menu I can set in ovsuf file by using switches  -D 365,-o
2,-u,-w,-V,-T.
I did not find any troubles reported into nv.log. Any idea ? Can I set some
application debug level to see what happens ?


P.S.
So , I can create a PMR  for customer  but  this issue has no priority for
now.

Let's try this again a little slower.
You say that when you try the pull down menu from Daemon Control on from
serversetup, and select "SNMPCollect Daemon", it gives you "Unexpected
Operation" in a pop-up?  Yet there is an snmpCollect daemon running and
collecting data.  How did you determine that? Task Manager?  Does this
daemon show in status window of serversetup?  What status does he have?
Are there any recent error messages in the \usr\ov\log\nv.log?

Hello Netview Guys,
I have Netview 7.1.4 FP03  on Windows 2000. After clearing SNMPCollect
databases I have no access to  SNMPCollect daemon menu   from server setup
.{ I have got a popup message "Unexpected operation"}
Any other menu are OK. SNMP Collecting works fine and all data are visible
into MSJET file.
How Can I trace this situation ???
