All, Question #1 Can someone explain in detail how NetView detects HRSP interfaces and how it handles HSRP switchovers? Please also let me know if there are traps/events generated when HSRP switchovers occur. Also, what parameters need to be set for netmon in order for HSRP interfaces to be interpreted correctly? Question #2 On Cisco routers Administratively Down interfaces have a pink (User1) status color in NetView. Is the use of User1 for Admin Down interfaces specific to Cisco devices? In other words, is User1 and User2 vendor definable? How does NetView detect Admin Down interfaces? TIA, Stephanie
Relax. Yahoo! Mail virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses! |
