Your question is ambiguous. The data? NetView has three distinct kinds.
Trap or snmpCollect data could be migrated anywhere using some of the
migration tools if you do it yourself, but there is no option to store
topology data, if that's what you are asking.
Relational Data base support in NetView for UNIX, requires that the product
be installed under the Tivoli Framework along with RIM. RIM provides the
interface to the RDBMS. NetView just passes data to RIM. And then you
must install the NetView RDBMS database component to provide the schemas
and the mechanism. But the Linux version of NetView does not have an RDBMS
database component.
But even if it existed, there is no support for MS SQL from UNIX, no matter
whether you are on Linux, Solaris, or AIX. To store data in MS SQL you
need to use the Windows product.

Hi
Can we have Netview 7.1.4 on Linux configured to store the data on an MS
SQL database? I am looking at the option of using the reporting tool “WAN
Insight” for my Netview on Linux
Best regards,
Anvaj
